Ysella Silkreed was not born on the Moonshae Isles; she was claimed by them. Her earliest memory was wreckage—splintered hull, gray sky, and waves hurling her against the rocks. Northlander raiders found her half-drowned and snarling; they nearly left her for the gulls until a sudden wave dragged two warriors from the cliff while Ysella remained untouched. Superstition spared her life. Raised among the hard people of Gullstrand, she rowed longships, knotted ropes in gales, and learned war-chants that shook rafters. Where her kin muttered to Umberlee, Ysella felt her blood resonate with Tempus. Storms and battle shared a heartbeat. After her first raid she swore herself as a cleric of the Lord of Battles, convinced that combat is remembered not only in scars but in the banners that fly above it. Her sails and standards soon became Moonshae relics — cloth that held until the warriors carrying them fell. A vision drew her east to Neverwinter. Its harbor sagged beneath tattered, weary colors, and Tempus demanded a new theater of war and remembrance. Today she leads Silkreed Warcloths, crafting reinforced cloaks, sails, and standards for captains and champions. Each banner is a vow: when storms rise and steel clashes, Tempus will remember whose colors did not yield.
