Two wandering merchants from Amn, Jessa and Marn Fleetfoot, discovered him after their mule refused to move another step, braying until they uncovered the silent child. Jessa believed Yondalla guided them. Marn believed the boy would grow strong enough to haul crates. Either way, Tharic lived. He followed the Fleetfoots across Amn, learning routes, tools, and the quiet patience of survival. But the battered shield he arrived with called to him. One night, when bandits ambushed the caravan, light burst from the shield like dawn itself. That miracle led him into paladin training, where he proved steadfast, merciful, and driven by an unshakeable sense that his true origin lay hidden. His path eventually led him north to Neverwinter, where steel and justice are always in demand. There he founded Ironshaper Forge—neither orphan nor mystery anymore, but a protector shaping both metal and destiny.
