A Moon Elf warlock who escaped the prison-city of Wheloon after forging an eerie pact with Mask. Now master of a metal-gathering operation in Neverwinter.
Born in Wheloon, the cursed prison-city of Cormyr, Durnan Oreseek grew up under the shadow of glassy walls and gang rule. His rare Moon Elf heritage made him valuable—and vulnerable—to the street crews that raised him. Quick, sharp, and preternaturally quiet, he earned a reputation as the thief who could slip through any lock or wall. During a raid on a ruined chapel, he found a cracked obsidian mask that whispered with the voice of Mask himself. Shadows bent toward him. Doors gave way. Escape became inevitable. Fleeing Wheloon, Durnan discovered his new powers altered more than his stealth—they gave him a strange affinity for metal itself. In Neverwinter, he founded Oreseek Extraction, a metals-gathering outfit staffed by runaways and misfits. A hidden shrine to Mask sits in the back room, tended only by the shadows that still follow his steps.
